3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., ORDINANCE NO. 18,473
4 (May 1, 2001) CONCERNING SOUTH KATILLUS STREET, LITTLE ROCK,
5 PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, THAT HAS BEEN ABANDONED; TO
6 DECLARE AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors approved Little Rock, Ark. Ordinance No. 18,473 (May 1,
9 2001), which vacated and abandoned a portion of the South portion of South Katillus Street within the
10 City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and
11 WHEREAS, it has been determined that the legal description contained in Section 1 of the ordinance
12 defines an area greater than that actually abandoned and vacated, and
13 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors wishes to correct the legal description;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The property description contained in Section 1 of Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No.
17 18,473 (May 1, 2001), is hereby amended to read as follows:
18 Part of the SW 1/4 NW 1/4 and Part of the SE 1/4 NW 1/4 of Section 24, T -2 -N, R -14-
19 W, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
20 Starting at the Northeast corner of said SW 1/4 NW 1/4; thence SO 1'34'48" W along the
21 East line of said SW 1/4 NW 1/4, 879.58 ft. to the point of beginning; thence S
22 87 051'55" E, 14.86 ft.; thence S02 008'05 "W along the East right -of -way line of South
23 Katillus Road, 92.21 ft.; thence N87'5 1'55"W along the South right -of -way line of said
24 South Katillus Road, 50.00 ft.; thence NO2 °08'05 "E along the West right -of -way line of
25 said South Katillus Road, 92.21 ft.; thence S87 °51'55 "E, 35.14 ft. to the point of
26 beginning, containing 4,610 square feet more or less.

28 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
32 ordinance.
33 Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this
34 ordinance, and particularly that portion of Section 1 of Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 18,473 (May 1,
35 2001), are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
36 Section 4. Emergency. It is hereby found and determined that an immediate need exists ieh 7 "'-

an emergency exists, and this ordinance, being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
