3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE LAND USE PLAN (16,222) IN THE
4 DOWNTOWN PLANNING DISTRICT (LU09-05-01) FROM i MIXED USE
5 URBAN TO PUBLIC INSTITUTIONAL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, as the Little Rock Planning Commission believes it appropriate to amend the plan;
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRE, CTORS OF THE CITY
9 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
10 Section 1. That the following areas be amended from Mixed Use Urban to ublic Institutional:
Area I is located at the southeast corner of West Markham Stre t and South State
12 Street.
• Area 2 is located at the northwest corner of Broadway Street and West Second
14 Street.
15 • Area 3 is the city block bounded by Broadway Street, West See ond Street, South
16 Spring Street and West Third Street.
17 • Area 4 is the city block bounded by Broadway Street, West Fo rth Street, South
18 Arch Street and West Capitol Avenue.
19 0 Area 5 is located between West Markham Street on the south and La Harpe
20 Boulevard on the north. This is the site of the Old State House.
21 • Area 6 is also located between West Markham Street on the south and La Harpe
22 Boulevard on the north with South Scott Street on the east.
23 • Area 7 is located just west of Cumberland Street between East 1"d Street and East
24 3rd Street.
25 • Area 8 is south of East 4t" Street, west of Rock Street, northd of East Capitol
26 Avenue and east of Cumberland Street.
27 • Area 9 is two city blocks bounded by West Fourth Street, South Commerce
28 Street, East Capitol Avenue and Interstate 30 frontage road.
29 Section 2. That the ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from I and after its passage and
30 approval.
31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, itern, sentence,'
32 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, '413
33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shal reina: n

effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
ordinance.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
