ORDINANCE NO 20,101
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE INDEPENDENCE
FARMS NORTH ANNEXATION, ADDING CERTAIN
LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition for voluntary annexation (the "Petition") was filed with
the County Clerk of Pulaski County, Arkansas by the owner of hereinafter designated
lands praying that said lands be annexed to and made part of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, on February 3, 2009, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas
found that the Petition was signed by a majority of the total number of the real property
owners of the area to be annexed and by the owners of some 3.23 acres of said area; and,
WHEREAS, said lands are contiguous to and adjoining the present corporate
limits of the City of Little Rock; and,
WHEREAS, an accurate map of said lands has been filed with and made a part of
said Petition; and,
WHEREAS, proper notice has been given for the time and in the manner
prescribed by law; and,
WHEREAS, all things pertaining thereto have been done in the manner
prescribed by law and that said lands should be annexed to and made part of the City of
Little Rock.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The following described territory contiguous and adjoining the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas is accepted as annexed to and made a part of the City of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, to wit:
INDEPENDENCE FARMS NORTH ANNEXATION
i BEGINNING AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF TRACT 5,
INDEPENDENCE FARMS SUBDIVISION, UNIT #1, PULASKI
COUNTY, ARKANSAS; THENCE NO2 °03' 18" E, 693.21 FT. TO A
POINT OF THE NORTH LINE OF THE SE 1/4 SW 1/4, SAID SECTION
36, BEING ALSO THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT B, TRACT

13, CHENAL VALLEY GMAC CENTER, AN ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; THENCE S88 °36'08" E
ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID LOT B, TRACT 13, 197.02 FT.;
THENCE S01058'1 1"! W ALONG THE WESTERLY LINE OF SAID
LOT B, TRACT 13 AND ALONG THE WESTERLY LINE OF LOT A,
TRACT 13, SAID CHENAL VALLEY GMAC CENTER, EXTENDED
732.94 FT. TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SAID TRACT 5,
INDEPENDENCE FARMS SUBDIVISION; THENCE N77 °13'42" W
ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID TRACT 5,201.60 FT. TO THE
POINT OF BEGINNING, CONTAINING 3.2337 ACRES MORE OR
LESS.
SECTION 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item,
sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid
or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
ordinance.
SECTION 3. Repealer. All ordinances or resolutions of the City in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
