ORDINANCE NO 19,930
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE MAUMELLE
ORCHARD ANNEXATION, ADDING CERTAIN LANDS TO
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition for voluntary annexation (the "Petition ") was filed with
the County Clerk of Pulaski County, Arkansas by the owner of hereinafter designated
lands praying that said lands be annexed to and made part of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, on December 18, 2007, the County Court of Pulaski County,
Arkansas found that the Petition was signed by a majority of the total number of the real
property owners of the area to be annexed and by the owners of more than one -half of the
acreage of said area; and,
WHEREAS, said lands are contiguous to and adjoining the present corporate
limits of the City of Little Rock; and,
WHEREAS, an accurate map of said lands has been filed with and made a part of
said Petition; and,
WHEREAS, proper notice has been given for the time and in the manner
prescribed by law; and,
WHEREAS, all things pertaining thereto have been done in the manner
prescribed by law and that said lands should be annexed to and made part of the City of
Little Rock.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The following described territory contiguous and adjoining the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas is accepted as annexed to and made a part of the City of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, to wit:

MALMELLE ORCHARD ANNEXATION
Tract 98, Maumelle Orchard Addition, lying in the SW '/, of Section 15,
T -2 -N, R -14 -W, Pulaski County, Arkansas; more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Tract 98, being also the
Northwest corner of Lot 79, Block 48 Chenal Valley, an addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence SO1 °28'52" West along East line of
Tract 98 being the West line of said Lot 79, Block 48 and the West line of
Lots 78, 77, 76 and Tract H said Block 48, 330.0 feet to the Southeast
comer of said Tract 98, being also the Southeast corner of said Lot 76,
Block 48; thence N88 034'02" West along the South line of said Tract 98,
being a Westerly extension of the North line Lot 75, said Block 48, 660
feet to the Southwest corner said Tract 98; thence NO1 °28'52" East along
the West line of said Tract 98, 300 feet to a point on the South line Tract I,
said Block 48; thence 88 034'02" East along said South line and along the
South line of Lot 82, said Block 48, 660 feet to the Point of Beginning,
containing 5.0 Acres more or less.
SECTION 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item,
sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid
or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
ordinance.
SECTION 3. Repealer. All ordinances or resolutions of the City in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
