4509J . ORDINANCE N0. 4509. ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE ERECTION,CONSTRUCTION,AND LOCATION 5 Ok GASOLINE AND OIL PUMPS AND TANKS ,AND FILLING STATIONS, AND TO PROVIDE P iALTIE S FOR ITS VIOLATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCZ: Section 1. That every person, firm or corporation hereafter desiring to install gasoline! or oil PuzPs an an filling stations, or to erect any building to house the same, or both, within the City Limits of the City of Little Rook,shall conform to the following requirements in addition to Ordinance #3577 and ordinances amendatory thereto: The applicant shall make application to the Public ,. Works Department for a permit to do the necessary construction work and installation and shall pay therefor the following fees= For each gasoline or oil tank ................. 0500 For each driveway leading into or out of the filling station For each separate pump installed- - eaeha R .� P , aged, or mov*d -toy a per lbaat .. .. For each portable or stationary oil Pump unit ........................... .........� 2.00 For each grease or oil rack ..................$ 2.00 For building, or buildings, to be erected, the fee shall be the same as required under the Building Code. Section 2. Each $eparate gasoline pump and necessary gasoline tank and oil pump, shall be considered and construed to be-.a gasoline filling stationf, and no owner, lessee, or agent of these PUMPS or tanks already erected within the City Limits, shall is' ;. Section 3. That no gasoline filling station shall hereafter be erected within five hundred (5001) feet of any church, school, hospital, public park, or public building or grounds. Section 4. No gasoline filling station shall hereafter be erected within ten (101) feet of any adjoining property line, street, side- walk or alley. Section 5. All buildings designed to be used for gasoline PmA,v:- filling stn ons, vf 1q) appli6ances shall be safe and of the latest approved design, and free from unnecessary danger with reference to fire protection. Section 6. Each person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon oonviction, shall be fined in any sum not less than $25.00 nor more than $100.00 and each days violation shall be treated as a separate offense. Section 7. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and it shall take effect and be in full for** -from and after its passage, and all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
