AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF COVE STREET
TO "WOOD LANE" AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
S ection 1. That the name of Cove Street,
running south from the Missouri Pacific Union Station to Seventh
Street be and the same is hereby changed to "Wood Lane", same
being in honor or Judge Carroll D. Wood, the State's veteran
jurist, who, on this day, ended his career as a Justice of the
Supreme Court of the State of Arkansas, after 36 years of
continuous service, retiring to private life as one of Arkansas'
most honored and beloved citizens.
S ection 2. That all ordinances and parts of
ordinances, only in so far as they conflict herewith, are hereby
repealed and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
