WHEREAS, Ordiance Number 2036 of the City of Little Rock, passed January 5th, 1914, granted to the Little Rock Pine Bluff and Eastern Traction Company a right -of -sway over certain streets in the City of Little Rock, for the construction, opera- tion and maintenance of its interurban railway lines, and WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 2859 of the City of Little Rocks passed on October 10th, 19219 . extended the time for the beginning of work two yeare, and the time for completion thereof six years from the date of its passage, and �l1�RI�AS, the extension of time granted has long since passed, and the rights of the grantee thereunder have ceased and determined, and said &anchise has become null and void. NOW, THEREFORE, 13E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK: Section 1. That the bond of the Little Rock Pine Bluff and Eastern Traction Company in the sum of One Thousand Sollars ($19000) having expired, is hereby released and discharg- ed; and any cash deposit made in lieu of said bond with the Southern Trust Company, now the American Southern T-r us t Company,. is hereby ordered and directed to be repaid or refunded to said Company, and its sureties. ,Aw . . Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and he here- by is, directed to deliver to the said American Southern Trust Company a certified copy of this ordinance and execute to it in behalf of the City of Little bock such receipt or discharge as may be proper and necessary to release any funds held by it in escrow, in lieu of said bond. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, and upon its acceptance by said Little Kock Pine Bluff and Eastern Traction Company, to be endorsed upon the margin of the record hereof.
