AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO THE MUTUAL REAL ESTATE
COMPANY, OF LITTLE ROCX, ARIA NSAS, ITS HEIRS AND ASSIGNS, TRZ
RIGHT TO ZXCAVATZ UNDER THE SIDETALSS ON FOURTH STEW AND OH
LOUISIANA STREET, ADJACENT TO TEE WZST SEVENTY FUT 0l` LOTS
FOUR FIVE, ACID SIX, BLOCK SEVENTY -SIX, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, AND TO CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN IN SAID EXCAVATION WB-
STRUCTURES AND BASEMENT FOR A BUILDING TO BE ERECTED THEREON,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
�n fl BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
AR16 SAS:
Section 1. That the Mutual Real Estate Company
of Little Rock, Arkansas, owners of the west seventy (70) feet
of Lots 4, 5, and 6. Block 76, Original City of Little Rock, be
and they are hereby granted permission to excavate under the
sidewalks on Fourth Street and on ' Lo is ana .Street =acento
% said lots, said excavation to extent ten 100)) sfeet west of tine
west line of said Lots 4, 5, and 6, and ten (10) feet south of
the south line of the west seventy (70) feet of said Lot 6, the
purpose being to erect on said property a building; and the
corner adjacent to said lots shall be out so as not to inter-
fere with a twelve -foot radius curb.
The right is also granted to the Mutual Real
Estate Company, its heirs and assigns, to maintain in said
excavation, for a period of ninety -nine (99) years from the
date of the passage and approval of this ordinance, sub-
structures and basement of said proposed building.
Section 2. That the Board of Public Affairs,
of the City of Little Rock, is hereby authorized and instructed
to enter into and complete a lease for the use of the above-
mentioned space under the sidewalks, by the Mutual Real Estate
Company, its heirs and assigns, for a period of ninety -nine
(99) years from the date of the passage and approval of this
ordinance, at the rental of One Dollar ($1.00) a year.
