4386� f _ f � Y ORDINANCE N0. AN ORDER kODIFYING, A111EI ING, AND RBADJUSM"G THE STREET RAILWAY AND ELECTRIC LIGHT RATES _OF_TH ARKA11SAS POWER & LIGHT COMPANY. BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: THAT W.l 1EAS, this Countil has given notice as required by law of changes and adjustments of said Company's street railway fares and electric light and service rates and has found and determined, aft--r hearin,n-, that said fares and rates should be modified, amended and readjust- ed NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED: That the Jrkansas Power & Light Company should be and is hereby authorized a d directed, on giving ,_ays' notice to the general public of the City of Little Rock, to put in effect and collect an eight cent cash fare from passengers on its street railway for one continuous ride over its lines, includinU transfer, provided that said Corananiy shall sell at its office and on its cars, for twenty - five cents a semi - monthly permit expiring at midniEht on the 15th or last day of the current month,which shall entitle the bearer thereof to ride upon any of its cars at any time and as often as the bearer shall desire during the limit of said permit for a cash fare of five cents, including transfer; and provided, further, that s-�id com_;,any shall sell two metal tokens for fifteen cents, each of which tokens shall entitle the bearer thereof to one continuous ride over its lines, includin:, transfer, and provided, further, that this order shall not be taken or construed to in any way modify, change, or re- adjust the present rates of fare applicable to school children whose names may be certified to said company, and to children not over the a - -e of five whey. accompanied by a passenger, as embodied in the sixth paragraph of the franchise of said Company in Ordinance No. 876. BE IT FURTHER ORDEtED that certain of its electric service rates shall be amended as follows: RESIDENTIAL LIGHTING APPLICATION OF SCHEDULE: T'nis schedule is applicable for electrical service in residences, individual apartments, or flats for lighting and other doi:iestic uses, includingrefrigeration, measured throught one meter. 'rotors of appliances, the individual rated capacity' of which does not exceed one '7r will be served under this schedule. Hotels, restaurants, offices or other commercial establishments, churches, and recognized boarding or rooming houses will -,ot be served under this schedule. RATE - Combinbtion Flat and b:eter:- Flat rate of Meter Rate of 7.0¢ 5.0¢ 3.Q¢ 12.5/ net each month for each of the first four rooms, and 10¢ net each month for each room in excess of four rooms; and net per KNH for the first 6 KIM per room per month. net per KVM for next 100 r,H per month. net per KJH for all addi- tional energy per month. h:IRIKU ! ROOKS All rooms shall be counted except hallways (not includii hallways used as living rooms), alcoves, closets, pantries, bath - tooms, unfinished attics and basements, trunk rooes,sfrontna dbrear porches, and un- enclosed sleeping porches, counted, except when used in part for living o_uarters, in which case rooms therein shall be counted the same as in the residence. #3 No bill will be based on less than four (4) rooms. RESIDENTIAL COOKING AND OR ffIT7"� - I' APPLICATION OF -CT--- This schedule is applicable for electrical service in residences, individual apartments, or Flats only for cooking and/or for water heating in conjunction with lighting and other domestic uses, ;zeasured through one meter. In case an electric range and an electric water hec.ter are installed, the wiring shall be so arranged that both appliance's cannot be used at the s�.me time. Small motors, the individual rated capacity of which does# not exceed one KVw will also be served under this schedule. Hotels, restaurants, offices, or other commercial establishm =nts, churches and recognized boarding or rooming houses will not be served under this schedule. CO�,tiL3CIAL LIGHTING - CLASS E APPLI'"'ITION OF SCHEDULE This schedule is applicable for electrical service for general commercial lighting measured through one meter, when served from the transmission systemo Ceiling fans will also be served under this schedule. U f4 Consumers may, upon written notification to the Company, attach to his service meters, the individual rated capacity of which does n6t exceed one (1) H.P. or other electrical devises, the individual rated capacity of which is not in excess of one (1) KW; and upon written permission of the Company, may connect motors or oth._r electrical energy consuming devises of greater capacity. RATES Combination Flat and Meter - 1.00 net each month for first one -half (:1�30 KV, or less of contract load, and 10 per 100 watts for addi- tional Contract Load, and 7¢ net per KYVH for the first 6 KM used per each 100 Watts of Contract Load per month; 64 net per MVH for the next 500 K.VH used per month; (500 kilowatt hours) 4� net per -XWH for the next 500 K JH used Per month (500 kilowatt hours) 22 net per K,V.H for all additional energy sed per month. CONTRACT LOAD The contract load will be based on the sum of the manu- facturer's ratings of the 1&mps, motors and other electrical de- vices connected, and fo /all billing purposes, will be taken as the nearest multiple of one -half (12) XW to the told connected load, but in no event will the Contract Load he determined be taken at less than. one -half O KZi. With installations having a connected load of 1OKUr or over, the Company may, at its option, base the Contract Load on a measured demand. In this event the Contract Load will be the average KW sup flied during the fifteen minute p<;riod of maximum use during the twelve months period ending with the billing month. but in no event will the Contract Load so determined be taken at less than 1OKW. SUALL PO11ER Application of schedule: This schedule is applicable for small miscellaneous alternating current power service for which no specific schedule is provided. Motor- generator sets or conver- tors supplying energy for lighting purposes, and lightin.` incident4l to power service will not be served under this secedule# RATE: - COUBIN°TION AND iETE3 Flat rate of 75¢ net per month per Contract HP and Meter rate of 7.0¢ net per KWH for the first 20 KWH per contract HP per month. 5.0� het per KZYH for the next 500 per month. 2.5� net for all additional energy per month. f5 IIINI1riM CHARGE: The flat rate portion of the above stated rate. CONTRACT HP X. The contract HP shall be based on the sum of the manu- facturer's ratings of the motors and other electrical appliances installed as follvrws: �• 1 motor or appliance ...... .....100% of total rating ' 2 motors or appliances ........ ..906 of total rating 3 motor:: or ^pnliances ... . ...... so% of total rating 'y 4 or more motor or appliances ...... 700 of total ratim !" Except that the Contract HP shall never be less than the ratings of the largest motor or appli nce; 90% of the combined ratings of the two largest motors or appliances, or 60% of the combined ratings of the three largest motors or appliances. When the horsepower so determined exceeds a whole number by a fractional part, the Contract HP shall be tskdn at the next lower whole number if the fraction is less than one -half, and the next higher wh471e number if the fraction is equal to or greater than one -half No bill will be based on less than one (1) Contract HP for single phase sery ice or on less than eight (8) Contract HP for three phase service. That this order shall be in full force and effect from the date of its adoption by the Council and approval by the fl'•ayor.
