Z 2 ORDINANCE M. 45 •
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF TAXATION OF
PROPERTY FOR CITY PURPOSES FOR YEAR 1928.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the rate . of taxation on real
and personal property in the City of Little Rock, for City
purposes for the year 1928, be and the same is hereby fixed and
established and levied as follows:
For General Purposes in order to
carry on the affairs of the City
Government under Section 4, Article.
12, of the Constitution of 1874,
there is hereby levied a tax of 5 mills;
For purpose of paying Bonds and Interest
of the City of Little Rook as they mature
in the Funding Bond Issue of May 1, 1925,
a tax of 2j mills for the year 1928 is
hereby levied;
and Ordinance No. 3789 is hereby amended only insofar as to
apply to the levy for the year 1928.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed
to transmit a certified copy of this ordinance to the County
Clerk of Pulaski County to the end that the taxes herein recited
may be extended on the tax books of Pulaski County and collected
annually along with the other taxes for the year 1928.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and
be in force immediately upon its passage.
