AN ORDINANCE _�uTHOZiIZI.0 TRI 1AYOR OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK TO' EXECUTE, A QUITCLAIM DEED TO PULASKI COUNTY TO CERTAIiv PROPERTY
FOR USE FOR A JAIL BUILDING SITE.
_ Whereas, the City of Little Rock did, on the 7th day of
1855, convey by p ro p er deed to Pulaski County the following
described land, to -wit:
"Commencing at a point 60 feet 7orth of the 7ortheast
corner of Bloch 99, and on the "lest side of Conway Street in said
City; thence `:`lest on a line parallel to the 7orth boundary line of
said Block 99 a distance of 120 feet; thence 7orth along the East
side of Spring Street a distance of 166.85 feet to the tract of the
city front railroad of the St. Louis, Iron Lountain & Southern
Railway; thence in an Easterly direction along said rai lv:*ay track
and the side track thereof to a point on the ':lest side of Conway
Street 104 feet TTorth to the point of beginning; thence South along
the ':'lest side of said Conway Street to the point of beginning;" and,
Whereas, Conway Street, lying North of Garland =venue
(formerly ' "later Street), was never platted or dedicated, and,
';lhereas, Pulaski County did take possession of said tract
of land including the area referred to as Conway Street, Forth of
Garland .:,venue and South of the right-of-way of the Missouri-Pacific
Railway Company, in addition to the other lane' conveyed, and have
enclosed and occupied the same since the date of said deed, and,
r- 7hereas, Pulaski County is now contemplating the construction
of a new Zail, a part of which is liable to be on said tract de-
scribed as Conway Street, 'Forth of Garland _,venue, and,
Whereas, it is desired on behalf of the County that the
City release any claim of title it might have;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the Yayor, Chas. z.Voyer, be, and he is
hereby authorized and empowered to execute a quitclaim deed to

Pulaski County, quitclaiming the City's interest in and to the
following described premises lying and,bein g situated in the City
of Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to-wit:
"Beginning at a point on the East property line of Conway Street

erection 2: That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herevrith be, and the same are hereby -repealed.
