An Ordinance Assessing the Value Benefits to be
Received by the Owners of Each of the Several Blocks,
Lots and Parcels of Land within Street Improvement
District No. 497-of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, the majority in value of the property owners

the purpose of curbing, draining and paving in such manner and
with such materials as the commissioners of said district
shall determine shall be for the best interests of the district,
all that portion of Brown Street from the North property line
of West 11th Street to the North property line of Rest 10th
Street ; and West 1Qth Street from the West property line of
Brown Street to the East property line of Valentine Street,
have petitioned the Council of the City of Little Rock for the
construction of said improvement, and that the cost thereof
shall be assessed upon the, real property of said district,
1 according to the benefits received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block,
lot and parcel of real property situated in said district
equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and
.WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $140181.201
exclusive of interest;
NOW,THEREFORE, it is ordained by the City Council of Little
Rook, Arkansas:
Section 1. That said several blocks, lots and parcels of
Ve,all property in said district be assess#d according, to the �'
assessment list for said improvement district as the same now
remains in the office of the city clerk of the Olty of Little
Rock, and as the same may be.annually readjusted by the board
of assessors, and that 10% of said assessment of value of benefits
of each of said blocks, lots and parcels of land shall be paid
annually on or before the 20th day of July of each year until

iOO per centum of said assessment shall have been paid. The
first annual payment shall be made on or before the 20th day
of July, 1928.
Section 2. That all ordinances or Darts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
