AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE ARKANSAW WATER COMPANY TO EXTEND AN
EIGHT INCH (80) LINE SOUTHWARD IN FLETCHER STREET FROM ITS SIX
INCH (6 ") MAIN IN EAST 5TH STREET TO EAST 6TH STREET, THENCE
EASTWARD IN EAST 6TH STREET TO THE TRACKS OF THE MISSOURI PACIF
RAILROAD COMPANY AND OPPOSITE THE PLANT OF THE LITTLE ROCK TEX-
TILE COMPANY, AND TO INSTALL THEREON TWO FIRE HYDRANTS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK%
Section 1. That the Arkansaw Water Company is
hereby ordered and directed to install an eight inch (8 ") line
in Fletcher Street southward from its present six inch main in
East 5th Street to East 6th Street, thence eastward behind the
north curb of East 6th Street to the west boundary line of the
Missouri Pacific Railroad Company and opposite the plant of the
Little Rock Textile Company, and to install two standard Ludlow
fire hydrants, at the following locations:
One (1) at E. 6th and Fletcher Sts.
One (1) at E. 6th St. and Railroad (On the
end of the line in Z.-6th Street west of
the right -of -way of the Missouri Pacific
Railroad, and opposite the plant of the
Little Rock Textile Company.)
Section 2. This line and hydrants are ordered
in accordance with Section 8 of Ordinance No. 3290, passed
August 13, 1923, and as amended by Ordinance No. 3442, passed
March 24, 1924.
Section 3. That Ordinance No. 4266, passed
January 9, 1928, is hereby repealed, and all other ordinances
or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
only insofar as they conflict with this ordinance.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after its passage.
