AN ORDINANCE LAYING OFF A PORTION OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK INTO A STREET IMPR OVEMEBT DIS-
TRICT TO BE KN9WN AS STREET IMPROVEMENT DIS-
TRICT NO. 49_5 _ AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDA-
S THEREOF.
WHEREAS, more than ten owners of real property
v: within that portion of Little Rook, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
hereinafter described, have petitioned the City Council to
take steps toward the making of local improvements therein
by forming the district hereinafter described into an improve-
ment district for the purposes hereinafter set out,
THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That Street Improvement District No.
!49_ 5 of the City of Little Rook be, and the same is here-
.by created and established for the purpose of making local

and paving in such manner and with suoeh materials as the com-
missioners of said district shall determine to be for the best
interests of the district and for the purpose of acquiring
right -of -way, where necessary to open at tY* width hereinafter
specified, the following streets:
A street 80 feet wide, being 40 feet wide on each
side of the center line located as follows;
Beginning at a point in the center of Main Street
on the north line of 24th Street in Rapley F il.ton's
Addition, thence in a southerly direction to a point
40 feet west and 30 feet south of the southwest cor-
ner of Lot 6 of the subdivision of Lot 18 of Rapley
Estate, thence in a southerly direction to a point
40 feet east of. the northeast corner of Lot 1, Block
1, Fletcher and might's Addition, thence in a souther..
l,y direction to a point 40 feet east of the southeast
dorner of Lot 6, Block 4, Fletcher and Wright's
Addition, thence in)& southerly direction to a point
40 feet east of the northeast oorne of Lot 1, Block
2, South Main Street Addition, thence in a southerly

corner of Lot 15, Block 2, South Main Street-Addition,
thence in a southerly direction to a point 40 feet
east of the northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 2 of
Robinson's Addition, thence, in a southerly direction
to a point 40 feet east of the southeast corner of
Lot 13, Block 2, Robinson's Addition.

A street 57.2 feet wide, being 28.6 feet wide on each
side of the center line, located as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of and 29.9
feet south of the northeast corner of lot 10, Block
2, Robinson's Addition, thence in a southwesterly
direction to a point on the east line of and 10 feet
north of the southeast corner of lot 39 of the Fulton
Estate, thence continuing in a southwesterly direction
to a point 3475 feet north of the northeast eor -ner Of
Lot 7, Block 1, Morrison Addition.
A street 57.5 feet wide, being 28.75 feet wide on
each side of the center line, located as follows:
Beginning at a point 3.75 feet north of the northeast
corner of Lot 7, Block 1, Morrison Addition, thence in
a westerly direction to a point 3.75 feet north of
the northwest corner of lot 22, Block 3, Morrison
Addition, thence in a westerly direction to a point
3.75 feet north of the northeast corner of lot 19
Block 1, Twen Cen Addition, thence continuing west
to a point 14.75 feet south of the southwest corner
of lot 3, Block 3, Chattanooga Addition.
A street 60 feet wide, being 30 feet wide on each side
of a center line located as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of Main Street
where said line is intersected by the center line of
26th Street in Pettifer's Addition (being that Street
bounded on the north by Blocks 4, 5 and 6 and on the
south by Blocks 7, 8 and 9 of said addition), if
extended west; thence in an easterly direction through
the east hall of Block 4, Fletcher & Wright's Addition,
Block 28 of the Fulton Estate, 26th Street of Petti-
fer's Addition and of Cox's Annex to Pettifer's Addi-
tion and continuing in an easterly direction on the
same line through Cox's Quapaw Addition and Block 2
of the Rapley Estate to the east line of the lane or
street extending north and south between Blocks 1 and
2 of Rapley Estate, thence in an easterly and south-
easterly direction along the circumference of .a circle
whose radius is 330 feet and whose center is 330 feet
south of the intersection of said center line with
said east line of said lane, for a distance of 122+9
feet, thence south 68 degrees and 36 minutes east to
a point where said line becomes tangent to the cir-
cumference of a circle curving in a southeasterly
and easterly direction whose radius is 330 feet and
whose center is 300 feet north of the southwest corner
of Block 4 of Watkins Addition, theme along the cir-
cumference of said circle 122.7 feet to the point of
its intersection with the west line of 'Natkins Addition,
thence in an easterly direction along the center line
of the street located on the south side of Blocks 4
and 3 of said addition to the west line of Confederate
Boulevard#
in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas in acetrdance with an Act
of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas entitled "An
Act to regulate local improvements in cities of the first class;

approved March 22, 1881, and amenments thereto; that the boundaries
Of said district shall include the following property:
All that real property lying within 150 feet east of
the east property line of Main Street and all that real property

Street, respectively, from the south line of the Missouri
Railway Company's right -of -way to the north property lin oifio Ioff

All that real property lying within 190 feet on either
side of a center line which is located as follows:
Beginning at a point in the center of Main Street on
the north line of 24th Street in Rapley Fulton's
Addition, thence in a southerly direction to a point
40 feet west and 30 feet south of the southwest cor-
ner of lot 6 of subdivision of lot 18 of Rapley
Estate, thence in a southerly direction to a point
40 feet east of the northeast corner of lot 1, Block
1, Fletcher and Wright's Addition, thence in a south-
erly direction to a point 40 feet east of the southeast
corner of lot 6, Block 4, Fletcher and Wright's Addi-
tion, thence in a southerly direction to a point 40 feet
east of the northeast corner of lot 1, Block 2, So *th
Main Street Addition, thence in a southerly direction
to a point 40 feet east of the southeast corner of
lot 15, Block 2, South Main Street Addition, thence in
a southerly direction )s a point 40.feet east of the
northeast corner of lot 1, Block 2 of Robinson's Addi-
tion, thence in a southerly direction to a point 40
feet east of the southeast corner of lot 13, Block Z.

All real property,not included in the above descrip-
tions, which lies within the following boundary lines:
A line 180 feet north of and parallel to a line looat-
ed. as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of, and 29.9 feet
south of, the northeast corner of Lot 10, Block 29
Robinson's Addition, thence in a southwesterly - direction
to a point on the east line of, and ld feet north of,
the southeast corner of Lot 39 of the Fulton Estate,
thence continuing in a southwesterly direction to a
point 3175 feet north of the northeast corner of lot
79 Block 19 Morrison Addition; thence in a westerly
direction to a point 3.75 feet north of the northwest
corner of lot 22, Block 39 Morrison Addition, themee
in a westerly direction to a point 3.75 feet north of
the northeast corner of lot 19 Block 1,.Twen Cen
Addition, thence continuing west to a point 14.75 feet
south of the southwest corner of Block 3, Chattanooga
Addition which is on the east line of Arch Street.
Then, beginning at said point 180 feet north of a
14.75 feet south of the southwest corner of Block point
of Chattanooga Addition, run south along the east line
of Arch Street to the southwest corner of lot 20 of
Block 2 of Twen Gen Addition, thence east along the
south line of said lot 20 to the center line of the
alley running north and south in said Block 2, thence

Beginning at a point on the east line of, and 29.9
feet Bout# of the northeast corner of Lot 10, Block
2, Robinson's Addition, thence in a straight line
northeasterly to a point on the east line of Main
Street 180 feet north of a point where said east
line of Main Street is intersected by the center
line of 26th Street in PettiferTs Addition (being
that street bounded on the north by Blocks 4, 5 and
6 and on the south by Blocks 7, 8 and 9 of said
Addition) , if extended west; thence in an easterly
direction 180 feet north of and parallel to a line
located as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of Main
Street where said line is intersected by the center
line of 26th Street in PettiferTs Addition (being that
street bounded on the north by Blocks 4, 5 and 6 and
on the south by Blocks 7, 8 and.9 of said additioni,
if extended west; thence in an easterly direction
through the east half of Block 4, Fletcher & Wright's
Addition, Block 28 of the Fulton Estate, 26th Street
of PettiferTs Addition and of CoxTs Annex to Petti-
fer's Addition and continuing in an easterly direc-
tion on the same line through CoxTs Quapaw Addition
and Block 2 of the Rapley Estate to the east line
of the lane or street extending north and south be-
tween Blocks 1 and 2 of Rapley Estate; thence in an
easterly and southeasterly direction along the cir-
cumference of a circle whose radius is 330 feet and
whose center is 330 feet south of the intersection
of said center line with said east line of said lane,
for a distance of 122.7 feet, thence south 68 degrees
and 36 minutes east to a point where said line be.

line of Watkins Addition, thence in an easterly diree-

the south side of Blocks 4 and 3 of said addition to
the west line of Confederate Boulevard.
Section 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage, and the
City Clerk is hereby ordered within twenty (201 days from the

date of its passage to publish the same in some newspaper pub-
lished in the City of little Rook for one insertion.
