AN ORDINANCE LAYING OFF A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; INTO A SIDEYALK
IMPROVyMENT DISTRICT TO BE KNO,-7N AS SIDEWALK IM-
PROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBS' �gq , AND DESIGNATING
THE BOUNDARIE "THVEREOF.
WHEREAS, more than ten owners of real property within that por-
tion of the City of Little Rock, State of Arkansas, as hereinafter des-
cribed, have petitioned the City Council totake steps toward making local
improvements therein by forming the territory hereinafter described into
an improvement district for the purpose hereinafter set forth:
NOM, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City
of Little Rock:
Section 1. That Sidewalk Improvement District Number41of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be, and the same is hereby created and es-
tablished for the purpose of making local improvements therein by construct-
ing and building hard surfaced sidewalks, and doing the necessary grading
therefor:
On the west side of Maple Street beginning at the southeast cor-
ner of Lot Three (3), Block Nine (9), R. C. Butler Addition running thence
north along and parallel to said nest side of :Maple Street to the northeast
corner of Lot Four (4), Block Eight (8), R. C. Butler Addition excepting
therefrom the intersecting streets and sidewalks; on the north and south
sides, respectively, of :Vest 26th Street beginning at the west property
line of Maple Street and running thence west to the east property line of
Oak Street; on the east side of Oak Street from the south property line
of West 26th Street running thence south on the east side of and parallel
to said Oak Street to the southwest corner of Lot Nine (9), Block Nine (9),
R. C. Butler Addition excepting therefrom the intersecting streets and side-
walks; on the west side of said Oak Street from the south property line
of West 26th Street running thence gbutA on the west side of and parallel
to said Oak Street to the southeast corner of Lot Three (3), Block Ten (10),
R. C. Butler Addition excepting therefrom the intersecting streets and

sidewalks;; on the east and west sides, respectively, of Oak Street from the
north property line of `Test 26th Street running thence north to the south
property line of West 25th Street,-excepting therefrom the intersecting streets
and sidewalks; on the south side of West 25th Street from the Vest proper-
ty line of Oak Street running thence west and parallel to said Test 25th
Street to the northwest corner of Lot One (1), Block Seven (7), R. C. But-
ler Addition excepting therefrom the intersecting streets and sidewalks;
on the south side of "Test 25th Street from the east property line of Oak
Street running thence east and parallel to said West 25th Street to the
northeast corner of Lot Twelve (12), Block Eight (S), R. C. Butler Addn.
excepting therefrom the intersecting streets and sidewalks; on the north
side of West 26th Street from the west property line of Oak Street running
thence west and parallel to said West 26th Street to the southwest corner
of Lot Six (6), Block Seven (7), R. C. Butler Addition excepting therefrom
the intersecting streets and sidewalks; on the south side of said West 26th
Street from the west property line of Oak Street running thence west and.
parallel to said "est 26th Street to the northwest corner of Lot One (1),
Block Ten (10), R. C. Butler Addition excepting; therefrom the intersecting
streets and sidewalks.
That the boundaries of said district shall be, and include the
following property lying within the district and City, to -wit: Lots One
(1) to Six (6), inclusive, Block Seven (7), R. C. Butler Addition; Lots
Four (4) to Twelve (12), inclusive, Black Eight (8), R. C. Butler Addition;
Lot One (1) , Two (2), Three (3), line (9),- Ten (10) , Eleven (11) , Block
Nine (9), R. C. Butler Addition; Lots One (1), Two (2), Three (3), Block
Ten (10), R. C. Buller addition; all of which property described above
lies and is situate in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Section 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage and publication, and the City
Clerk is hereby ordered within twenty days from the date of its passage
to publish the same for one insertion in some newspaper published in the
City of Little dock, Arkansas.
