'TIHJREAS, more than ten owners of real property within
that portion of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, herein-
after described, have petitioned the City Council to take steps
toward the making of local improvements Qerein by forming the
territory hereinafter described into an improvement district
for the purposes hereinafter set out,
THEREFORE BE IT ORDAIYED BY THE CITY C07YCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCS:
SECTION 1: That said :street Improvement Distridt
ro. 485 in the City of Little Rock be, and the same is created
and established for the purpose of making local improvements
therein by paving that nart of Van Buren street, 7oodlawn and
Lee Avenues, which was included in Street Improvement District
No. 357, and on which the grading, draining, curbing and
guttering has already been done, being Van Buren Street from
the south line of prospect Avenue to the north line of lee
Avenue, 7oodlaun Avenue from the west line of Jachson Street
to the east line of Van Buren Street, and Lee Avenue from its
intersection with the east line, produced north, of Block One
of Pfeifer'sAddition to its intersection with the west line
produced south, +b Lot Nine of Block 28 of Pulaski Heights
Addition, and by grading, draining, curbing, guttering and
paving the following streets:
Van Buren Street from the south line of lee Avenue
to the north line of 'lest Markham Street; the north half of
:"Test Markham Street from the west line of Elm Street to its
intersection with the .rest line, produced south, of 7onroe
Street; all of ;rest rarkham Street from its intersection with
the Crest line, produced south, of T: onroe Street to its
intersection with the west line, produced south, of 'Tan Buren
Street; C. Street from the west line of Van Buren Street to
the east line of Tyler Street; lee Avenue from its intersection
with the 'rest line, produced south, of Lot 9 of Block 28 of
Pulaski HejEhts addition to the east line of Harrison ;Street;
and 0odlawn, F and G Streets, respectively, from the :rest line
of Van Buren Streets to the east line of "arrison Street.
To be d6ne in such manner and with such materials as

the Commissioners of said District shall determine to be for
the best interests of the district, in the City of Little
Rock, 1r Lansas, in accordance with an act of the General
Assembly of the State of Arkansas entitled "An Act to rer-ulate
local improvements in cities of the first class ", apTroveci
I.-"arch 22, 1881, and amendments thereto;
That the boundaries of said District shall embrace
the following property:
Lots 13 to 24, inclusive, of 31ock 4 of Pinehurst
Addition.
Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, of Blan':_enship's re- subdivi-
sion of Block 8 of Glendale Audition.
Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, of Thalheimer's subdivision
of 31ock 7 of Glendale Ad-ai Lion.
Lots 11 to 16, inclusive, of Blocks 5, 61 7, and 8 of
Elmhurst _ °addition.
The South half of Blocks 5 and 6 of 11. Adam's sub-
division of the east half ofl the "orthwest quarter of the
