AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A CMRTAIN PORTION,
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO S.- IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT NO. 102 OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, persons claiming to be a majority in value of the owners
of real property within the territory hereinafter described

erty adjoins and is contiguous to

of.Little Rock, Arkansas, a duly created and existing improvement dis-
trict in said City, desire to be added to and included in said improve-
ment district, and have filed a petition with the City Counetl of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, praying that said territory be annexed
to said improvement district and have designated the nature of the im-
provement to be undertaken, and have described the territory to be an-
nexed, and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed the city clerk to publish
for two weeks in some newspaper issued and having a general circulation
1n Pulaski County, a notice, calling upon the property owners within
said territory to appear before this council on this day and show cause
)'for or against said annexation, and,
WHEREAS, such notice has been duly published and this is the time
fixed in said notice for the hearing to determine whether those signing
said petition constitute a majority in value of the owners of real pro-
perty in said territory, and,
WHEREAS, this council has heard all persons who desire to be heard
upon the question of whether the signers of said petition constitute a
f majority in value of the owners of real property within said territory
sought 'to be annexed.

Section 1. That this council has ascertained that the signers
of the petition to annex the property hereinafter described to Sewer
Improvement District No. 102 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, con-
stitute a majority in value of the owners of real property within the
territory sought to be annexed, and that said petition for the annexa-
tion of said territory is in due form and properly signed by a majority
of the owners of real property as required by law.
Sec. 2. The following described pro erty,to —wit: Begin at the point
where the center line of Ringo Street intersects the North boundary line
(extended) of Block 60 in Braddock's Boulevard Addition; thence go South
along the said center line to the point where same intersects the center
line of 30th Street; thence go East along the center line of 30th Street
to the point where said line intersects the center line of Chester Street;
thence go South along the center line of Chester Street to the point where
said line intersects the South boundary line (extended) of lot 3 in Block
29 in Braddock's Boulevard Addition; thence go East along the said bound -
ary'line (extended) of said lot 3 to the South East corner of said lot s;
thence go South along the East boundary line (extended)of lots 4 5 6
and 7 in said block 29 and along the alley that passes through Bioc� 6
in Aoodlawn Addition to the point where said line intersects the center
line of 33rd Street; thence go West along the center line of 33rd Street
to the point where same intersects the center line of Chester Street;

Block 1 in Woodlawn Addition and Blocks 54 and 55 in Braddock's Boulevard

in Block 54 in Braddock's Boulevard Addition; thence go North along the
said line to the point where same intersects the center line of 32nd
Street; thence go East along the center line of 32nd Street to the point
where same intersects the East boundary line (extended)of lots 1 to 7 in
Block 32 in said Addition; thence go North along said line to the point
where same intersects the center line (extended) of the alley that passes
though Block 8 in Bowmants Addition; thence go West along the said line
to the point where same intersects the center line of High Street; thence
go north along the center line of said Street to the point where same
intersects the center lijne of 31st Street; thence go East along the center
line of 31st Street to point where same intersects the East boundary lin e

beginning,: all in the City of Little Rock, in Pulaski County, Arkansas,

be, and all of said property is hereby added to and annexed to Sewer Im-
provement District No. 102 of Little Rock and is a part of said improve-
ment district, and the commissioners of said district shall proceed to
make the improvements petitioned for by installing a system of sanitAry
sewers, including all necessary manholes, flush tanks, septic tanks,
pipe lines, and outlets, and such disposal arrangements as may be neces-
sary and all other work that may be necessary for the successful cons�6ruc-
Lion thereof, and by extending said system beyond the boundaries of the
territory hereby annexed for outlets at such points and in such manner
as may be found necessary; all of same to be located in the places and
to be of such materials and dimensions and to be placed in such manner
0 the commissioners may deem for the best interest of the district; the
improvement td be of.athe same general character as that in the original
district No. 102. That said annexed territory shall be known as "Annex
Iftmber One to Sewer Improvement District Number 102 of the City of Lit-
tle Rock, Arkansas ".
Sec. 3. That the commissioners shall make the assessments of bene-
fits for said improvement on the lots in the territory to be annexed on
the same basis as if said territory was included in the original district
and shall file said assessmat with the city Clerk.
Sec. 4. That all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repeal-
ed and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage, and the city clerk is hereby ordered within 20 days after
the passage of this ordinance to publish the same in atme-- newspaper pub-
lished and having a bona fide circulation in the City of Little Rock,'
for one insertion.
