AI ORDINANCE LAYING OFF A PORTION OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK

TEEREOF .
Whereas, more than -ten owners of real property within that
portion of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, hereinafter des-
csribed,have petitioned the City Council to take steps toward mak-
ing of local improvements therein by forming the territory herein-
after described into an improvement district for the purposes here-
inafter set out,
Therefore, Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City
of Little Rock:
Section 1: That said Street Improvement District No. X79.
of the City of Little pock be, and the same is hereby created and
established for the purpose of making local, improvements therein
bj grading, draining, curbing, guttering and paving in suah manner
and with such materials as the commissioners of said district
shall determine to be for the best interests of the district,
the following street: ,
Thayer Avenue from its intersection with the south line
of Iffest 8th Street, produced west across Thayer Avenue
to its intersection with the north line of West 12th
Street, produced west across Thayer Avenue
in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, in accordance with an Act
of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas entitled "An Act
to Regulate Local Improvements in Cities of the First Classn,
approved March 22, 1881, and amendments thereto; that the boundaries
of said district shall include the following property:
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, of Blocks 4, 5, 12 and 13; all
in Capitol Hill Extension Addition.
All of Blocks 1, 8 and 9; and Lots 8 to 14, inclusive,
of Block 15, all in Roots & Coy's Addition.
A tract of land described as follows: Begin at the inter-
section of the west line of Thayer Avenue with the north
line of Block l of Roots & Cgyzs Addition, thence west
along the north line of said Block 1 to east line of
Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railway Company's right -of-
way, thence northeasterly along east line of said right -of-
way to its intersection with the south line, produced west,
of Vilest 8th Street, thence east along said south- line of

West 8th Street to the west line of Thayer Avenue,
thence south along said west line to point of beginning.
Section 2: That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage, and the
U ty -Clerk is hereby ordered within twenty days fran the date of
its passage to publish the same in some newspaper published in
the City of little Rock for one insertion.
