AN ORDINANCE RECUIRING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDDIIALKS, 4-4-FEET

MIDLAND AVENUE FROM MARKHAM STR:TET TO LEE AV, AND ON RIDGMUY
STREET FRO11 1,:TARKHAM STREET TO LEE AVENUE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY T=1 CITY COUNCIL OF TIL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of property abutting
upon Lee Avenue between the intersections of Prospect Avenue and
Lee Avenue and Fine Street and Lee Avenue; and the owner or owners
of property abutting upon Midland Avenue between the intersections
of I- Tarkham Street and Yidl.and Avenue and Lee Avenue and ladland
Avenue; and the owner or owners of property abutting upon Ridgeway
Street between tlhe?.intersections of Markham Street and Ridgeway
Street and Lee Avenue and Ridgeway Street, be and they are hereby
required to build within ninety days from t passage of this
-,V in width
ordinance, and to thereafter maintain, a sidewalk
and curbing along
such property where the same abuts upon the above mentioned streets
for the hereinabove described distance, of the material and according
to the specifications, and in the manner outlined and provided for
in Section 1281 of Hale's Digest of the City Ordinances of 'Little
Rock, and subject to the approval of the Supreintendent of Public
Works.
Section 2. Anyone failing to comply with the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction in the Little Rock TTunicipal Court shall be fined in any
sum not less than Five Dollars nor more than Fifty Dollars for
each offense, and each day,after the expiration of the period above
given in which to build said sideways, shall constitute a separate
offense under this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after the date of its passage.
