ORDINANCE NO. 4169.
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A CEIRTAIN PORTION
JEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO STREET =ROVE-
L1ENT DISTRICT NO. 430 OF LITTZE ROCK, AR&.
WBEREAS, persons claiming to be a majority in valuo
of the owners of real ]property within the territory hereinafter
described, which property adjoins Street Improvement District
No. 430 of little Rock, Arkansas, a duly created and existing
improvement district in said city, desire to be added to and
incl*ded in said improvement district, and have filed a peti-
tion with the City Council of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, praying that said territory be annexed to said im-
provement district and have designated the nature of the im-
provements to be undertaken, and have described the territory
to be a mexed, and
tTE REAS, the City Council has directed the City Clerk
to publish for two weeks in some newspaper issued and having
a general circulation in Pulaski County, a notice calling upon
the property owners within said territory to appear before this
Council on this day and show cause for or against such annexa-
tion, and
b`lHEREAS, such notice has been duly published and this
is the time fixed in said notice for the hearing to determine
whether those signing said petition constitute a majority in
value of the owners of real property in said territory, and
WE3REAS, this Council has heard all pers ons who desire
to be heard upon the question of whether the signers of said
petition constitute a majority in value of the owners of real
property within said territory sought to be annexed;
TEEREFORE , BE IT ORDA 12TEED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That this Council has ascertained that the

signers of the petition to annex the property hereinafter des-

cribed to Street Improvement District No. 430 of the City of
little Rock, Arkansas, constitute a majority in value of the
owners of real property within the territory sought to be
annexed , and that said petition for the annexation of said
territory is in due form and properly signed by a majority
of the owners of real property as required by law.
SECTION 2• That Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 amd 12 of
Block 2; Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of Block 3; and Lots
1, 2, 3, 16, 17 and 18 of Block 4, all in Beach's Addition;
lots 19 29 3, 11, 12, and 13 of Block 1 of Bodeman's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
be, and they are hereby added to and annexed to Street Improve-
ment District No. 430 of 'Little Rock, and are a part of said
improvement district, and the commissioners of said district
shall proceed to make the improvements petitioned for by doing
the necessary paving with vibrolithio concrete in s wh manner
as the commissioners of said district shall determine to be for
the best interests of the territory hereby annexed to said
Street Improvement District No. 430 on the street lying along
the south line of Blocks 2 and 3 of Beach's Addition to Little
Rook, commonly called West Third Street, being the first street
south of Test Markham Street, from the west line of Valmar
Street to the east line of Maple Street; that such annexed
territory shall be known as the West Third Street Annex to
Street Improtaement District No. 430 of Little Rock, Arkansas,
SECTION 3• That the Commissioners shall make the
assessment of benefits for said improvements on the lots
in the territory hereby annexed on the same basis as if said
territory had been included in the original district and shall
file said assessments with the City Clerk.

SECTION 4. That all ordinances in conflict gerewith
are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage and the City Clerk is
here __-ordered within 20 days after the passage of this ordi-
nance to publish same in some newspaper published in the City
of Little Rock for one insertion.
