AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING TTY CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS,
FOUR FE T IN WIDTH, ON BROWN STREET BETWEEN FOURTEENTH
AND FIFTEENTH STREETS, AND ON FOURTEENTH STREET BET71M
BROWN AND MARTIN STREETS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of property abutting
on Brown Street, between Fourteenth and Fifteenth Streets, and
on Fourteenth Street, between Brown and Martin Streets, be and
they are hereby required to build, within ninety days from the
ti passage of this ordinance, and to thereafter maintain a sidewalk
four feet in width, and curbing along such property where the
same abuts upon said streets for the above mentioned distance,
of the material, and according to the specifications, and in the
manner outlined and provided for in Section 1281 of Hale's Digest
of the City Ordinances of Little Rock, and subject to the approval
of the Superintendent of Public Works.
Section 2. Anyone failing to comply with the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction shall be fined in any sum not less than five nor more
than twenty -five dollars for each offense, and each day after the
expiration of the period above given in which said sidewalks are
not laid shall constitute a separate offense, under this or&iranee.

take Effect and be in force from and after the date of its
