AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING KENNELS WHERE MORE THAN FOUR DOGS ARE
KEPT WITHINN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF-THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
AND PRESCRIBING AND FIXING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation
to maintain, conduct or operate a kennel where more than four dogs are
kept on any premises within the corporate limits of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas.
Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation keeping, maintaining,
conducting or operating a kennel where more than four dogs are kept on
any premises whatsoever in the corporate limits of the City of Little
Rock shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof
in the Little Rock Municipal Court shall be fined in any sum not less
than $10.00 nor more than $50.00, and each day that said ordinance is
violated shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 3. This ordinance shall not affect dog hospitals where dogs
axe received for treatment only.
Section 4. For the purpose of this ordinance pups having attained
the age of six months shall be counted as dogs.
Section 5. This ordinance shall not legalize dogs in the number
allowed becoming nuisances or disturbing the peace of the citizens of
the City of Little Rock or prevent the abatement of such nuisances and
disturbances by the police, and the assessing of f im thereforo in the
Municipal Court of the City of Little Rock.
Section G. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force on
and after June 1st,019272 and all ordinances in conflict herewith are

repealed after that date.
