iBEREAS, a majority in value of the owners of real property
owning real property adjoining the locality to be affected and
situated within Street Improvement District No. 438 of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the purpose of making local
improvements therein by grading, draining, curbing, guttering and
paving the street set out in their petition, excepting the inter-
sections of streets heretofore paved, all to be located and
constructed in the places and in the manner and of the materials
that the commissioners for said district, to be hereafter appointed,
shall deem for the best interests of the district, have petitioned
the City Council of the City of Little Rock for the construction
of said improvement, and that the cost thereof shall be assessed
upon the real property within said district according to the benefits

received; and
,1EEREAS, said benefits received by each and every lot, block,
or other subdivision of land situated within said district equals
or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and
`iHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is Seventy -two
thousand nine hundred eighty and 12/100 Dollars ($72,980.12);
THEREFORE, IT IS NOVI ORDAIIMD BY TBE CITY COMTCIL OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the said several lots, blocks, or other sub-
divisions of real property within said Street Improvement District
No. 438 be, and they are, hereby assessed according to the assess-
ment list for said improvement district, as the same now remains
in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Little Rock, and as
the same may be annually readjusted by the Board of Assessors, and
that six and-2/3 per centurg (6 2/3%) of said assessment of the value

of the benefits of each of said lots, blocks, or other sub-
divisions of real property within said Street Improvement District
No. 438 shall be paid on or before the 15th day of March of
each year, beginning March 15, 1927, until the whole of said
assessment shall have been paid.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect fran and after its passage.
