AN ORDINANCE ASSEISSING TFT VALUE OF THE BEIdrFITS TO 3E RECFIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE SEVERA1 TOTS, BLACKS OR OTHER SUBDIVISIOITS OF REAL PROPERTY WITHIN STREET II:PROVMIENT DISTRICT NO. 440 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, e.RXkNSAS UpIEREAS, a majority in va.iue of the owners of real property owning real property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated within Street Improvement District No. 440 of the Cite of little Pock, Arkansas, orgenized for the Durpose of making local improvements therein by grading, draining, curbing, Fluttering aryl paving, in such manner and with such materials as the commissioners of said district shall determine to be for the best interests of the district the street set out in their petition, have petitioned the City Council of the City of Little Rock for the construction of said improvements, and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property within said district according to the benefits received; and ViHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every lot, block or other subdivision of real broperty situated within said district equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and 1HEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is THEREFORE, IT IS ITOW ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TFE CI TY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the said several lots, blocks or other subdivisions of real property within said Street Improvement District No. 440 be, and they are, hereby assessed according, to the assessment lift for said improvement district,as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk of the City of little Rock, and as the same may be annually readjusted by the bo,_rd of assessors, and that ten per centum (100) of said assessment of the value of the benefits of each of said lots, blocks or other subdivisions of real property H • 1 in said district shall be paid annually on or before the 1st day of November of each yeL.r beginning November 1st, 1926, ur.til the whole of said assessment shall have been paid. Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
