AN ORDINANCE AIENI)ING ORDINANCE rIb. 2939, PRESCRIBING AND
FIXING A PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO PROCURE CITY AUTOMOBILE
LICENSE AS PROVIDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 2939.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TH�-', CITY COUNCIL OF TM CITY OF LITTLE; ROCK:
Section 1. When any owner of any motor vehicle subject to the
payment of a license fee under Ordinance No. 2939 and the
amendment thereto, Ordinance No. 3994, shall fail to pay the
same when due on the 1st day of May of each year, then for
each ter_ days or fractional part of ten days after the 1st day
of D'-ay of each year in the payment of the same there shall be
added to said license fee the sum of X2.00 as penalty; the
payment of such penalty shall be enforced in the same maruae r as
the payment of said license fee; provided, that the total amount
of any penalty shall never exceed the original amount of the
license fee.
Section 2. When any person, firm, corporation or
individual purchases or acquires title to a motor vehicle which
is subject to a license fee under the hereinabove mentioned
ordinance and amendment thereto,and shall fail to pay the same
within ten days from the date of purchase, then the same penalty
shall be imposed and collected as provided for in Section 1 of
this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall not repeal or conflict
with any section or any part of ordinances I,os. 2939 and 3994.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect thirty days from and after its passage.
