ORDINANCE NUMBER 4044.
An Ordinanoe 0 Accept a Street Dedicated to the
Public and to Name the Same, and to Change a Part
of Valley Street.
Whereas, Oscar W. Davis and wife, Leta K. Davis, A. B.
Poe and wife, Lillian Poe, and C. E. Ferguson and wife, Josie
Ferguson, have dedicated to the public, by filing their plat
and bill of assnranoe, a strip of land 49 feet wide through and
across their property beginning at the North line of Block 4,
Virginia Heights Addition, intersected by the South side of the
Chicago, Rook Island & Pacifio. right -of -way, thence in a
Inorthwesterly direction adjacent to said South side of the
right-of-way of the Chic ago, Rock Island &Pacific Railway
Company, to its intersection of Valley Street, as shown by
,plat hereto annexed, said street being indicated by red line
upon said P lat and
Whereas, it is contemplated by said parties and others
to form an improvement district for the purpose of improvipg
said street so indioated;
NOW, THEMEFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That a street dedicated by Oscar W. Davis
and wife, Leta K. Davis, A. B. Poe and wife, Lillian Poe, and
C. E. Ferguson and wife, Josie Ferguson, beginning at the North
line of Block 4, Virginia Heights Addition to the City of
Little Rook, intersected by the South side of the Chicago,
Rook Island & Pacific Railway right -of -way, thence in a North-
westerly direction adjacent to said South side of the right -of -way
of the Chicago, Rook Island & Pacific Railway Company, to its
lntsx"ation of Valley Street, as shown by plat hereto annexed,
be, and the same is hereby given the name of Valley Street; thajr
the highway from the North line of Block 4, Virginia Heights
Addition, where it is intersected by the South side of the
right -of -way of the Chicago, Rook Island & Pacific Railway Baetooly

Street to River Pike.
Section 2: That all ordinances or parts of ozdi.nances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. j
