S AS, a majority in value of the property holders, owning property adjoining the. locality to be affected and situated: in Sidewalk Improvement District No. 437 of the City of Little: Rock, Arkansas., organized for the purpose of constructing concrete sidewalks on the east and west sides of Johnson Street from the north propert y line of West 11th Street to the South property line of West 8th Street and on the east and west sides of rt Booker Street from the south property line of Went 9th s Street to the north boundary line of Jones & Worthen Addition and on the north and south sides, of Vest 9th Street from Xohnson Street to Woodrow Street , and doing all necessary grading and draining, and all other work that may be necessary for the sueeessful construction thereof, in such manner as the commissioners shall determine to be for the best intereate of the district, have petitioned the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansaa, for the construction of said improvement, and that the cost thereof <*IL&22 be assessed upon the real property of said district according to the benefits received; and WHEMW, said benefits: received by each and every block, lot and parcel of real property situated in said district equals or exceeds the local assess3nent thereon; and WIMRLAS, the estimated coat of said improvement is #7,776.76. NOW, THEMMM, Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: r Section 1. That. the several blocks, lots and parcels of real property in said district be assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the city clerk, and as the same may be annually readjusted by the board of assessors, and that five (5 %) percentum on each of said blocks, lots, and parcels shall be paid annually on or before the first day of August of each of the years 1926 to 1940, inclusive. Section 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby, repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
