AN ORDINANCE LAYING OFF A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS INTO A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT HISTRICT, AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDS
THEREOF, SAID DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT NO.
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, ten or more owners of real property *ithin
the bounds herein mentioned have petitioned the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to take steps towards the making of
local improvements therein by constructing and installing a system of
electric lights to light all that portion of the following streets in
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as follows: Crestwood Drive from
its intersection with Beech Street at the East property line of Beech
Street through Edgehill Addition to Cantrell Road; Armistead Road
from its intersection with Beech Street at the East property line of
Beech Street to its intersection with Crestwood Drive, by the installa-
tion of poles, wires, conduits, standards, lamps and equipment in such
manner and with such materials as the commissioners of said district
may deem for the best interest of the district.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it Ordained by the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. That Street Light in9District No. .111_/3
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be and the same hereby is
created, laid out and established for the purpose of constructing and
installing a system of electric lights to light all that portion of
the following streets in the City of Little Rock, as follows: Crestwood
Drive from its intersection with Beech Street at the East property line
of Beech Street through Edgehill Addition to Cantrell Road; Armistead
Road from its intersection with Beech Street at the East property line
of Beech Street to its intersection with Crestwood Drive, by the in-
stallation of poles, wires, conduits, standards, lamps and equipment in
such manner and with such materials as the commissioners of said
district may deem for the best interest of the district, in ancordance
with an act of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas, entitled,
"An Act to Regulate the Manner of Assessing Real Property for Local
Improvements in the Cities of the First and Second Class," approved
March 22, 1881, and amendments thereto.

SECTION 2. That the district created, laid out and
established shall include that portion of the City of Little Rock,
embraced within the boundaries described as follows:
A part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 31, and
a part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 32, Town-
ship 2 North, Range 12 West, described as follows:
Beginning 739 feet South of the section corner of
.Section 29, 303, 31 and 32, running thence North 87
degrees East, 100 feet; thence North 724 degrees
East, 100 feet; thence North 64 degrees East, 300
feet; thence North 60 degrees East, 200 feet; thence
North 61 degrees East, 300 feet; thence North 52
degrees East, 100 feet; thence North 392 degrees
East, 100 feet; thence North 28 degrees East, 135
feet; thence East 240 feet; thence South 65
degrees East, 300 feet; thence South 52 degrees
East, 300 feet; thence South 40 degrees East, 350
feet; thence South 182 degrees West, 250 feet;
thence South 60 degrees West, 675 feet; thence South
772 degrees West 592 feet; thence North 881 degrees
West, 296 feet; thence South 452 degrees West, 200
feet; thdmee South 542 degrees West, 400 feet; thence
South 88 degrees West, 400 feet; thence North one-
half (2) degrees East, 982 feet; thence North 89
degrees East 319 feet to place of beginning, being
a tract of land on Pulaski Hbights and containing
51.02 acres.
And which includes Lots numbers One (1) to Seven (7)
inoAusive,. Nine (9) , Eleven (11) , Fourteen (14 )
to Thirty -nine (39) inclusive, Fifty-;one (51), Fifty -
three (53), Fifty -five (55), Fifty -seven (57), Fifty -
nine (59), Sixty -one (61), and Sixty -three (63),
Edgehill Addition to the City of Little Rock, as
platted by Bill of Assurance and plat filed with the
Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Pulaski County, on the
/? day of 1926.
All situated in the City of Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed and this ordinance
shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and
publication, and the City Clerk is hereby ordered within twenty days
passage of this ordinance to .publish the same in some news-
paper of general circulation in the City of ittle Rock, Arkansas,
for one insertion.
