ORDINANCE N0. 995-
AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE ARKANSAW WATER COMPANY TO EXTEND AN 8" LINE
IN CRESTWOOD DRIVE FROM BEECH STREET TO CANTRELL ROAD, IN BEECH STREET
FROM CRESTWOOD DRIVE TO THE NAB FOR OFR RMIISTEEAD ROAD AND TO INSTALL
THEREON EIGHT FIRE HYDRANTS.,
Whereas, He M. Armistead, Elizabeth M. Armistead, J. E.
England Jr., F• K. Darragh, W. G. Hall and He Conley agree to pay to
the City of Little Rock the annual rental on fire hydrants as set out
below, for a period of three years at the rate of $50.00 per annum for
each hydrant, such payments to be made in three installments of 6400.00
each annually, in advance, and
Whereas, He M. Armistead, Elizabeth M. Armistead, J. E.
England Jr.,. F. K. Darragh, We G. Hall and H. H. Conley agree to
enter into a contract with the Board of Public Affairs in accordance
with the above provisions, Now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section- -. The Arkansaw Water Company is hereby ordered
and directed to extend its present 8" water main in Crestwood Drive
and Beech Street eastward along the south side of Crestwood Drive
to a point opposite the northeast corner of Lot 39, thence northward
on the east side of Crestwood Drive to a point opposite the northeast
corner of Lot 63, thence westward along the north side of Crestwood
Drive to the intersection of Cantrell Road, an 8" line northward in
Beech Street behind the east curb to a point north of Armistead Road
as shown on plat of Edgehill Addition to the City of Little Rock, and
locate fire hydrants at the following locations:
East side of Beech Street and north side of
Armistead Road.
Crestwood Drive opposite property line of Lots
5 and 7 in Edgehill Addition.
Property line between Lots 11 and 25, Edgehill
Addition.
Property line between Lots 31 and 33, Edgehill
Addition.
Property line between Lots 39 and unplatted
portion east of Edgehill Addition.
Property line opposite northeast corner of
Lot 632. Edgehill Addition.
North of property line between Lots 57 and 59,
Edgehill Addition.
Intersection of Crestwood Drive and Cantrell
Road.

Section 2• This extension is ordered in accordancm
with Section 8 of Ordinance No. 3290, passed August 13, 1923, and as
amended by Ordinance No. 3442, passed March 24, 1924.
Section 3. The Mayor and Board of Public Affairs are
hsreby authorized to enter into a contract with H. M. Armistead,
Elisabeth M. Armistead, J• E. England Jr., W. G. Hall, F. K. Darragh
and H. H• Conley in accordance with the provisions recited above.
Section 4. That all ordinances, or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed only insofar as they con-
flirt with this ordinance.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage.
