ORDINANCE NO. 3979.
AN ORDINANCE LAYING OFF A PORTION OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK MAO A STREET IMPROVE -
MENT DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS STREET IM-
PROVEMENT DISTRICT N0. AND DESIGNATING
THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF.
WHEREAS, more than ten owners of real property within
that portion of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, hereinafter
described, have petitioned the !pity Council to take steps toward
making of local improvements therein. by forming the territory
hereinafter described into an improvement district for the purposes
hereinafter set, out,
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
SECTION 1. That said Street Improvement District No.
4140 of the City of Little Rook be, and the same is hereby created
and established for the purpose of making local improvements therein
by grading, draining, ourbing, guttering and paving in such manner
and with such materials as the commissioners of said district shall
determine to be for the best interests of the district, the following
street:
Pine Street from the south property line
of Lee Avenue to the north property line
of West Markham Street,
In the City of Little Rook, Arkansas, in accordance with an Act of
the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas entitled, "An Aot to
Regulate Local Improvements in Cities of the First Class," approved
March 22, 1881, and amendments thereto; that the boundaries of said
district shall inolude the following property:
All the real property lying within 150 feet
west of the west property line of Pine Street
from the south property line of Lee Avenue to
the north property line of West Markham Street;
The West Half (W*) of the Northeast Quarter
(NE-1-) of the Northeast Quarter (NEJ) of the
Northwest Quarter (NW J) of Section 5 of Township
1 North, Range 12 West;
Lots 4 to 9 inclusive of Lida A. Dice's Addition
to the City of Little Rook, Arkansas;
Lots 1 to 7 inclusive of Cantrell's Addition
to Little Rook,
SECTION 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby Apealed, and this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage, and the
city clerk is hereby ordered within twenty days from the date of its
passage to publish the same in some newspaper published in the
City of Little Rock for one insertion.
