An Ordinance granting to W. P* Gulley and X. B.
Webster the right to construct and maintain the fo1.-
lowing line of sewers- Beginning on the east side of
:hones: Street about 150 feet south of 7th Street. and
running west across said Street and thence 275
feet westward down an alley between Lots 1 to 6, Block
7, Ferndale Addition on the north, Lots 7 to 14, said
block on the south side.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF Ti1E CITY OF LITTLE
SECTION 1. That the right and privilege is hereby-grant-
ed to W. P. Gulley and J. B. Webster and to their heirs: and assigns
to construct and maintain at their o expense a certain line of
sewer from the east side of Street about 150 feet south of
7th Street, and running across said street westward and down a cer-
tain alley between Lots 1 to 6, Block 7, Ferndale Addition on the
north and Lots 7 to 14 said block, on the south, connecting to a
certain main leading from Young's Park Addition to the main of
Sewer District No. 94.
Provided, that the said sewer shall be constructed under
the supervision and according to plans and specifications approved
by the Superintendent of.Public Wor &s, City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. In consideration that the said W. P. Gulley
and T. B. Webster will advance the Hinds necessary for the construct-
ion of said sewer and for the proper maintainance thereof, the said
W. P. Gulley and 1. B. Webster is hereby granted the exclusive con-
trol of the said sewer main hereby authorized for and during the

period provided by this ordinance and is hereby authorized to pre-
vent or permit any connections therewith by.any person or persons,
firms or corporations except upon the terms and conditions speci-
fied in this ordinance.
�. a= SECTION a. That the said W. P. Gulley and. J. B. Webster
shall permit all property owners adjacent to said sewer to connect
with the same at a cost not to exceed $75.00 for each lot, of which
amount $25.00 shall be paid to the City of Little Rock for the priv-
ilege of connecting to its main, the other $50.00 to go to W. P.
Gulley and J. B. Webster.
SECTION 4. That when the said W. P. Gulley and J. B.
Webster shall have collected a sufficient amount from the property
owners tapping the said sewer to reimburse them for building and
maintaining said sewer and 8% per annum interest on the sum ex-
Beaded, their rights shall cease and said sewer shall become the
property of the City of Little Rook. Said franchise shall ter-
minate after ten years from this date.
SECTION 5. The City Collector is hereby designated the
Collector for the parties above mentioned to whom all moneys for
connections shall be paid, and for the use and benefit of the city
shall receive three percent of the amount collected for making same
and pay the balance to the parties interested. ,
SECTION 6. Said W. P. Gulley and J. B. Webster shall file
written acceptance of the terms of this ordinance thirty days from
date of passage of the ordinance. Upon failure to do so the ordin-
ance shall be of no effect.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall be in force from and
after its passage and all ordinances in conflict are hereby repealed.
