AN ORDINANCE LAYING OFF THE PORTION OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK TO A STREET IMPROVEMIMT DISTRICT
TO BE KNOWN AS STREET IMPROVEKENT DISTtICT NO.
346 AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF.
WHEREAS, more than ten owners of real property within
that portion of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, herein-
after described, have petitioned the City Council to,take
steps toward the making of local improvements therein by form-
ing the territory hereinafter described into an improvement
district for the purposes hereinafter set out,
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That Street Improvement District No. 346 of
the City of Little Rock be, and the same. is hereby, created and
established for the purpose of making local improvement therein
by grading, draining, curbing, guttering.and paving Chesttr
Street from the south property line of West Fifth Street (or
Capitol Avenue) to the north property line of West Twentieth
Street, excepting the intersections of streets heretofore paved,
all to be located and constructed in the places and in the manner
and of the materials that the commissioners for said district
shall deem for the best interests of the district, in accordance
with an Act of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas
entitled 4An Act To Regulate Local Improvements In Cities Of
The First Class', approved March 22, 1881, and Amendments thereto;
that the territory to be embraced in said district will be all
of the real property bounding and abutting on the street to bo
improved and running back therefrom for a distance of one hundred
fifty (150) feet.
Section 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall

take effect and be in force from and after its passage, and
the City Clerk is hereby ordered, within twenty days after
the date of its passage, to publish said ordinance in some
newspaper in the City of Little Rock, for one insertion.
