AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A CERTAIN PORTION,
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, AMUNSAS, TO STREET n2EOVE-
MENT DISTRICT NO. 366 OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, persons claiming to be a majority in value
of the owners of real property within the territory here-
inafter described, which property adjoins Street Improve-
ment District No. 366 of Little Rock, Arkansas, a duly
created and existing improvement district in said city,
desire to be added to and included in said improvement
district and have filed a petition with the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, praying that said
territory be annexed to said improvement district, have
designated the nature of the improvement to be undertaken
and have described the territory to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed the City Clerk
to publish for two weeks in some newspaper issued and hav-
ing general circulation in Pulaski County, a notice calling
upon the property owners within said territory to appear
before this Council on this day and show cause for or against
such annexation, and
ZEEREAS, such notice has been duly published and this
is: the time for the hearing to determine whether those sign-
ing said petition constitute the majority in value of the own-
ers of real property in said territory, and
WHEREAS, this Council has heard all persons who desire to
be heard upon the question of whether the signers of said
petition constitute such a majority;
THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED B* THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That this City Council has ascertained that
the signers of the petition to annex the property hereinafter
described to Street Improvement District No. 366 of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, do constitute a majority in value
of the owners of real property iR ,jithin the territory sought to
be annexed; that said petition for the annexation of said terri-
tory is in due form and properly signed by a majority of the
owners of real property as required by law.
SECTTION 2. That all that real property described as
follows:
Lots 1 to 6 inclusive of Blocks 1119 112, 113 and
114; Lots 5 and 6 of Block 115; Lots 7 to 12 in-
clusive of Blocks 129, 130, 131 and 132; and Lots
7 and 8 of 4lock 128, all in the original City of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
be and the same is hereby added to and annexed to Street
Improvement District No. 366 of Little Rock, and the commission-
ers of said district shall proceed to make the improvements
petitioned for by grading, draining, curbing, guttering; and pav-
ing,in such manner and with such materials as the commissioners
of said district shall determine to be for the best interests
of the territory hereby annexed : Arch Street from the north
property line of Test Seventh Street to the north property line
of Nest Eleventh Street.
SECTION 3. That said territory hereby annexed shall be
known as the Arch Street Annex to Street Improvement District
No. 366 of Little Rock, Arkansas,
SECTION 4. That the commissioners shall make the assess-
ment of benefits for said imi-)rovements on the lots, blocks or
parcels of real )roperty in the territory herein annexed on the
same basis as if said territory were included in the original
district and shall file said assessments vd th the City Clerk.

SECTION 5. That all ordinances or ;arts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance
shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage,
and the City Clerk is hereby ordered within twenty days after
the passage of this ordinance to publish the same in some
newspaper published in the City of Little Kock for one inser-
tion.
