ORDINANCE NO.--3-890-
AN ORDINANCE annexing a certain portion, hereinafter
described of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to Street
Improvement District Rio. 408, of Little Rock, 'Arkansas.
WHEREAS, persons claiming to be a majority in value of the
owners of real property within the territory hereinafter describe
which property adjoins Street improvement District ho. 408, of
Little Rock, Arkansas, a duly created and existing improvement
district in said City, desire to be added to and included in said
improvement district, and have filed a petition with the City
Council, of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, praying that said
territory be annexed to said improvement district and have designat.
ed the nature of the improvement to be undertaken, and have describ.
ed the territory to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, the
City Council has directed
the
City Clerk to pub-
lish for two weeks
in some newspaper issued
and
having a general
circulation in Pulaski County, a notice calling upon the proper
owners within said territory to appear before this Council on thiE
day and show cause for or against said annexation, and
WHEREAS, said notice has been duly published and this is the
time fixed in said noLive for the hearing to determine whether
those signing said petition constitute a majority in value of the
owners of real property in said territory, and
WHEREAS, this Council has heard all persons who desire to be
heard upon the qur:stion of whether the signets of said petition
constitute a majority in value of the owners of real property
within said territory sought to be annexed.
ZTEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City
of Little Rock , Arkansas.
Section 1. That this Council has ascertained that the sign-
ers of the petition to annex t-.--e property hereinafter described
to Street Improvement District vo. 408, of the City of Little Roc

j Arkansas,*constitute a majority in value of the owners of real
property within the territory sought to be annexed, and that said
the
petition fo—r/annexation of said territory is in due form and
properly signed by a majority of owners of real property as re-
quired b

i Section 2. Lots (8) to (14), inclusive, as shown by the
Amended Plat of Block Two (2); and Lots (7) to (12), inclusive

of Bl::ck (3), all in O.F.Sheldon s Addition, Lots ( 2) ( )
l inclusive, of Blocks(9)9.nd (16); and Lots (17) to (22), incluive,
of Block (17), all in Adamfil Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, be, and all of said property is hereby added to
and annexed to Street Improvement District No. 408,of Little
!j Rock, and is a part of said improvement district, and the Com-
missioners of said district shall proceed to mak the improvement,
petitioned for by doing the ne ce aryl dra ning and in g with
the materials and in the manner that the Commissioners of said

Street Improvement District No. 408 shall deem to be for the best
interest of the territory hereby annexed to said Street Improveme
District rvo. 408 on Park Avenue from the South property line of
West Twentieth Street to its intersection with the South propert
line of West Twenty Second Street, produced West aOcross Park
Avenue; that said. annexed territory shall be known as the

Park Avenue Annex to Street Improvement District No. 408, of
Little Rock, rkansas.
Section 3. That the Commissioners shall make the assessmen
of benefits for said improvement on the lots in the territory
to be annexed on the same basis as if said territory was include

in the original district and shall file said assessment with the
City Clerk.
Section 4. That all ordinances in conflict herewith.are
hereby repealed and this ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage, and the city Clerk is hereby
