AN ORDIIWCE PROVIDING FOR THE SAID OF THE PROPERTY
Min AS'CM- TAN PARS TO THE SPECIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT OF
LITTLE ROCS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed
to execute and deliver to the Special School District of Little
Rock a warranty deed in the name of this City, conveying to said
District the property knots as Civitan Park and embracing the Bast
six hundred and sixty (660) feet of what was formerly West End Park,
but with the provision that the portion thereof which is enclosed
within the limits of Kavanaugh Field shall continue so
long as this City desires to continue. Kavanaugh.,Field as a baseball
ground, and they are instructed to deliver said deed to the Special

School District of Little Rock upon receipt of the sum of_ -7ifty -five

SECTION 2. It is hereby ascertained and declared that the
etriwded condition of our public schools constitutes a menace to the
public health which can be met only by the immediate construction of a
school building upon the property herein directed to be conveyed to
said School District; and it is therefore declared that an emergency
exists, making it immediately necessary for the preservation of the
