3 A RESOLUTION TO DESIGNATE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER
4 TO EXECUTE CERTAIN DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH A GRANT
5 ADMINISTERED BY THE ARKANSAS NATURAL RESOURCES
6 COMMISSION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas owns wetland acreage along the Arkansas River in
9 downtown Little Rock and an Arkansas Natural Resources Commission grant is available for funding
10 towards restoration of the wetlands; and
11 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has determined it is in the best interest of the City and its
12 inhabitants to apply for a grant from the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission (the "ANRC ") in order
13 to make certain improvements to the wetland acreage:
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager or Assistant City Manager, as a Signatory Agent or the successor of
17 said Agent, is hereby authorized and directed to make application for assistance under the Grant Program
18 administered by the ANRC and to execute, when approved by the Board of Directors, agreements and
19 instruments issued or made pursuant thereto on behalf of the City from time to time.
20 Section 2. That the City Manager or Assistant City Manager, as a Signatory Agent or the successor
21 of said Agent, is hereby authorized to execute, for and on behalf of the City, all other documents and
22 certificates required by the department for participation in the Grant Program.
23 Section 3. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
