RESOLUTION NO. 13,021
A RESOLUTION TO SET SEPTEMBER 15, 2009, AS THE DATE OF
HEARING ON THE PETITION TO ABANDON PORTIONS OF SOUTH
MONROE STREET, SOUTH MADISON STREET, MARYLAND AVENUE
(WEST 9th STREET) AND ALLEY RIGHTS -OF -WAY LOCATED NORTH OF
WEST 10th STREET, SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 630, AND BETWEEN
JONESBORO DRIVE AND SOUTH MADISON STREET, IN THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk requesting that the Board of Directors
vacate and abandon portions of South Monroe Street, South Madison Street, Maryland Avenue (West 9th
Street) and alley rights -of -way located north of West 10th Street, south of Interstate 630, and - between
Jonesboro Drive and South Madison Street, in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, pursuant to its general
police power authority under Ark. Code Ann. §14 -54 -104.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The hearing on the ordinance to abandon the above - mentioned right -of -way shall be held
at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock in the Board Room of City Hall at six
o'clock on the 15th day of September, 2009.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed
by law by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski
County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock.
