2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN
3 AGREEMENT WITH RIC CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
4 OF A HELICOPTER HANGER AND PAD AT 11400 IRONTON ROAD FOR THE
5 LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
7 WHEREAS, the architectural firm of Heiple Wiedower coordinated bid #9232 for the construction of
8 a helicopter hanger and pad for the Little Rock Police Department's two helicopters at 11400 Ironton
9 Road, and
10 WHEREAS, there were ten (10) bidders for this project and RIC Construction, Inc. was the low
11 bidder with a total project cost of $200,650.00, and
12 WHEREAS, Funding is available from two (2) State of Arkansas, Department of Aeronautics
13 awarded grants. Matching funds will come from Seized Asset forfeiture accounts.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement with RIC
17 Construction, Inc. in the amount of $200,650.00 for the construction of a helicopter hanger and pad at
18 11400 Ironton Road for the Little Rock Police Department.
19 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
20 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
21 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
22 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
23 resolution.
24 Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions are hereby repealed to the extent of such
25 inconsistency.
