3 A RESOLUTION TO SET SEPTEMBER 1, 2009, AS THE DATE OF
4 HEARING ON THE PETITION TO ABANDON A PORTION OF FAIR PARK
5 BOULEVARD, SOUTH TAYLOR STREET, MARYLAND AVENUE, SOUTH
6 FILLMORE STREET, AND ALLEYS LOCATED WITHIN BLOCKS 3, 4, 5
7 AND 6 OF THE PERRY HEIGHTS ADDITION; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk requesting that the Board of Directors
11 vacate and abandon a portion of Fair Park Boulevard, South Taylor Street, Maryland Avenue, South
12 Fillmore Street and alleys located within Block 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the Perry Heights Addition, Little Rock,
13 Arkansas, including the abandonment of utility and drainage easements, less and except a described
14 easement, pursuant to its general police power authority under Ark. Code Ann. § 14 -54 -104.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The hearing on the ordinance to abandon the above - mentioned right -of -way shall be held
18 at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock in the Board Room of City Hall at six
19 o'clock on the 1S` day of September, 2009.
20 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed
21 by law by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski
22 County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock.
