A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
TOWNSHIP BUILDERS, INC. FOR IZARD
STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, The new developers of the long vacant structure at the northwest corner of
Capitol Avenue and Izard Street have requested a drainage improvement project to
reduce the frequency and severity of street flooding at Capitol and Izard, and
WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for Izard Street Drain Improvements project, Bid
No. 09-214, to be funded with private contribution funds,
AND, Township Builders, Inc. submitted the lowest responsible bid,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with
Township Builders, Inc. for construction of Izard Street Drainage Improvement project,
Bid No. 09 -214.
SECTION 2. Funding for Izard Street Drain Improvements is from private contribution
funds. Amount for construction services: $195,345.70 ($177,587.00, plus 10%
contingencies).
SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions
of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared
or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of
such inconsistency.
SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
adoption.
