RESOLUTION NO. 12,962
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE SOURCES AND USES OF 2006 AND 2007
HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock receives HOME Investment Partnership Program funds from the
Department of Housing & Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, in September of 2006 and 2007, the City of Little Rock Board of Directors approved funding for a
portion of the 2007 and 2008 HOME funds. At that time, funding was set aside for CHDO's and for undesignated
projects; and
WHEREAS, two (2) public hearings have been conducted in order to assure the maximum citizen input
possible;
WHEREAS, on March 5, 2009, the Project Review Committee voted to recommend the following projects
utilizing the balance of the 2007 and 2008 HOME funds, and additional HOME funding reallocated from prior
funding years;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board recommends submission of the following projected uses of 2007 and 2008 HOME
Investment Partnership funds:
(A) Black Community Developers, Inc. $114,126
(B) Vann & Associates, L.L.G. 60,000
(C) Habitat for Humanity 119.992
(D) Our House, Inc. 200,000
(E) University District Development Corp. 200,000
(F) Anthony Lemons 75,000
The amount of $277,213 remains to be committed to projects in the Central High Target Area.
Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of
this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not
affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared
or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
