129321 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 RESOLUTION NO. 12,932 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH AERCOR WIRELESS, INC., FOR THE PURCHASE OF NETMOTION COMMUNICATION SOFTWARE FOR 200 REMOTE DEVICES USED BY THE POLICE, HOUSING, AND PLANNING DEPARTMENTS, IN THE AMOUNT OF SIXTY -THREE THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($63,300.00), PLUS FEES AND TAXES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Information Technology Department must have NetMotion communication software for 200 remote devices in order to create the required secure connections from the devices utilized by the City's Housing, Planning and Police Departments to the City's network; and WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids for the purchase of NetMotion communication software for the 200 remote devices, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid was received from Aercor Wireless, Inc., in the amount of Sixty -three Thousand, Three Hundred Dollars ($63,300.00), plus fees and taxes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Aercor Wireless, Inc., to supply NetMotion communication software for 200 remote devices for the Housing, Planning and the Police Departments, in the amount of Sixty -Three Thousand, Three Hundred Dollars ($63,300.00), plus fees and taxes. Section 2. The Information Technology Department will fund $40,000.00 from 2007 and 2008 Short -Term Financing and the Police Department will fund the remainder from 2006 and 2007 Justice Assistance grant funds. Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
