3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
4 CONTRACT WITH DUNCAN HOME IMPROVEMENT, INC., TO PERFORM
5 EXTERIOR WORK AT THE WILLIE HINTON NEIGHBORHOOD RESOURCE
6 CENTER, FOR THE AMOUNT OF EIGHTY -FOUR THOUSAND ONE
7 HUNDRED FOUR DOLLARS ($84,104.00); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City's Consolidated Planning Committee recommended setting aside funds to perform
10 maintenance work at the Willie L. Hinton Neighborhood Resource Center and it has been determined that the
11 exterior of the building is in need of repairs and refurbishing, and
12
13 WHEREAS, an invitation to bid was issued to perform cleaning, repairing and replacement of elements of the
14 fagade of the building, and Duncan Home Improvement, Inc. submitted the most responsive and responsible bid in
15 the amount of Eighty -four Thousand One Hundred Four Dollars ($84,104.00);
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
17 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Duncan
19 Home Improvement, Inc. to perform cleaning, repairing and replacement of elements of the fagade of the Willie
20 Hinton Neighborhood Resource Center, in the amount of Eighty -four Thousand One Hundred Four Dollars
21 ($84,104.00).
22 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from CDBG funds.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this
24 resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect
25 the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or
26 adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the
28 provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency
