WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Police Department to replace nine (9) mid -size, pursuit -rated police vehicles which have been wrecked and totaled in 2008, and WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is in the City's best interest to purchase the vehicles from Bale Chevrolet, through the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract SP -09 -0028; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Bale Chevrolet for the purchase of nine (9) mid -size, pursuit -rated police vehicles, for the amount of One Hundred Sixty -nine Thousand, Nine Hundred Two Dollars ($169,902.00), pursuant to the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract SP -09 -0028. Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Fleet Services Special Project account. Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
