RESOLUTION NO. 12,828
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH CRUSE
UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT, AS PRIMARY VENDOR, AND STROUD
SAFETY APPAREL, AS SECONDARY VENDOR, TO PROVIDE VARIOUS
POLICE UNIFORMS, ACCESSORIES AND EQUIPMENT ITEMS FOR THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City advertised formal bids to solicit proposals for an annual contract
for the purchase of police uniforms, accessories and equipment for the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Cruse Uniforms and Equipment submitted the most responsible and
responsive bids for all but three specific items, in which case Stroud Safety Apparel submitted
tower bids that met specifications for reflective vests;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into agreements with Cruse
Uniforms and Equipment, as primary vendor, and Stroud Safety Apparel, as secondary vendor,
to provide various police uniforms, accessories and equipment items, according to the bids
received.
Section 2. Funds for this agreement are to be allocated from the Police
Department's 2009 Budget - Account No. 105220 - 60030.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or
adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the
remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the
portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of this
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in
conflict with any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
