WHEREAS, an invitation to bid was issued for the annual contract for the purchase of emergency warning devices and equipment for the 2009 -2010 year, and Fleet Safety Equipment, Inc., submitted the only bid in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00), and WHEREAS, this contract may be extended for seven (7) years upon the agreement of both parties; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Fleet Safety Equipment, Inc. in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00) for the 2009 -2010, with the provision that it may be extended for seven years upon the agreement of both parties. Section 2. Funds for this purpose are to be allocated from Account No. 600020 -60310 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
