127991 RESOLUTION NO. 12,799 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE TWENTY - 4 SIX (26) PURSUIT -RATED POLICE VEHICLES FROM NORTH POINT FORD; AND 5 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 6 7 WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Police Department to replace twenty -six (26) totaled, and 8 older police vehicles with high mileage and maintenance expenses currently being operated by the 9 Department, and 10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid No. 8265 for the purchase of the twenty - 11 six (26) Pursuit Rated Police Cars and the lowest responsible and responsive bid was received from 12 North Point Ford in the amount of Five Hundred Eighty -two Thousand, One Hundred Ninety -two Dollars 13 ($582,192.00); 14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE 15 ROCK, ARKANSAS: 16 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with North Point Ford 17 for the purchase of twenty -six (26) pursuit -rated police vehicles, for the amount of Five Hundred 18 Eighty -two Thousand, One Hundred Ninety -two Dollars ($582,192.00); 19 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2008 Police Department Short -term 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 Financing Account and the Fleet Services Department Replacement Account. Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
