3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF LAP TOP COMPUTERS FOR CODE
4 ENFORCEMENT AND BUILDING INSPECTION FIELD STAFF; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

6 WHEREAS, the ability to enter and research data while in the field will allow Little Rock code
7 enforcement and building inspection field staff to obtain property ownership information more
8 efficiently and perform their duties more effectively, and
9 WHEREAS, the required equipment may be purchased from Dell for $115,232.71 through State
10 Purchasing Contract No. 70137;
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
12 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
13 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to expend One Hundred Fifteen Thousand, Two
14 Hundred Thirty -Two Dollars and Seventy -One Cents ($115,232.71) plus tax for the purchase of
15 seventy three (73) lap top computers from Dell for the City's code enforcement and building inspection
16 field staff.
17 Section 2. Funds for this purchase were appropriated as part of the City's 2007 Short -term
18 Financing.
19 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
20 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
21 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
22 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
23 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
24 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not
25 originally a part of the resolution.
