3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN
4 AGREEMENT WITH THE RENSHAW FIRM ARCHITECTS, INC. FOR AMERICANS
5 WITH DISABILITIES ACT ARCHITECTURAL CONSULTANT SERVICES; AND FOR
6 OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City has need of an Architect to consult with various departments concerning
9 Americans with Disabilities Act ( "ADA ") issues; and
10 WHEREAS, the Renshaw Firm Architects, Inc. ( "Renshaw ") submitted the only response to a
11 Request for Qualifications ( "RFQ') (Bid # 8240), a review committee reviewed their response,
12 determined that Renshaw has the required professional expertise necessary to perform the consultant
13 services for the City, and recommends them for a contract award.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
15 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement for professional
17 services with the Renshaw Firm, Inc., in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, for a term of one
18 (1) year with an option to renew for two (2) additional years by mutual agreement in one (1) year
19 increments. Funds to pay for these services will come from the City's ADA compliance fund. The
20 contract language has been negotiated and includes a rate of $110.00 /hour for the principal, Mr.
21 Renshaw, and $90.00 /hour for his associate.
22 Section 2. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be
23 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of
24 the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged
25 invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
