WHEREAS, funds have been allocated from the 2004 Bond Issue Interest Earnings Account for an Arterial Street Overlay Program in 2008, and WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids for the construction contract for asphalt resurfacing of two street segments on Markham Street, from John Barrow to Ellis Drive and from 1 -430 to Natural Resources Drive, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid was received from Cranford Construction Company, in the amount of One Hundred Thirty -seven Thousand, Five Hundred Twenty - four and 20/100 Dollars ($137,524.20), which is $125,022.00 plus 10% contingency; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Sectionl. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a construction contract with Cranford Construction Company for asphalt resurfacing of two street segments on Markham Street, from John Barrow to Ellis Drive and from 1 -430 to Natural Resources Drive, for the amount of One Hundred Thirty -seven Thousand, Five Hundred Twenty -four and 20/100 Dollars ($137,524.20), which is $125,022.00 plus 10% contingency. Section 2. Funds for this project are available in Account #314409 B40SR36 and #204003 - 63390. Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
